Summer and Winter Honey
On the sunny leeward slopes of Maui’s Haleakalā, bees are busy making honey.
In the summer months (May–October), they gather nectar and pollen from prolific forests of Wilelaiki, producing a mild amber honey with floral notes and a subtle spice.
In wintertime (December–April), the bees frequent tall, fragrant stands of Eucalyptus that yield a deeper, darker honey with mellow caramel undertones.
